Bridge the Divide: A Two-Part Workshop on Navigating Charged Conversations
- This event has passed.
Thank you very much for your interest in attending this workshop! We are now at capacity and are no longer taking additional signups. We hope to see you at another NuRoots experience soon!
How do we argue with people we love? Can we debate with humility, respect, and understanding? Our increasingly divided political culture blocks conversation and progress at home as much as it does on social media and T.V. So let’s talk about it – over dinner.
Join us to celebrate Shavuot, a holiday symbolizing the receiving of our Jewish wisdom-tradition, by learning tangible approaches to tackle charged issues productively with an intimate group of young Angelenos. On May 13 and 19, our friends over at Resetting the Table will facilitate this two-part dinner workshop to help us develop dialogue skills we can use with anyone from family members to close friends to co-workers.
Thursday, May 13 from 5:30 to 7 pm
Wednesday, May 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Zoom
NuRoots mobilizes and inspires people in their 20s and 30s to create meaningful Jewish community across Los Angeles.
