Turn the Tables: Disability, Inclusion, & Service
- This event has passed.
February is Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM), and while our Federation works with community partners to support these efforts year-round, we’re especially excited to celebrate this great part of our community this month with exciting events, helpful resources, and meaningful advocacy opportunities.

We’re teaming up with Repair The World to welcome Judy Heumann and other leaders in the disability rights community to explore the intersection of disability, inclusion, and service. Judy’s career and legacy of advocacy are amazing—she co-founded the World Institute on Disability, served during the Clinton administration at the Department of Education, and was appointed by Obama as the first special advisor for international disability rights at the State Department, where she served until 2017. Her TED Talk, which came out the previous year, has more than a million views.
NuRoots mobilizes and inspires people in their 20s and 30s to create meaningful Jewish community across Los Angeles.
