Eastside Jewish Book Club: A Hannukah White Elephant
- This event has passed.
The Eastside Jewish Book Club is back at it again with its annual Hannukah Used Book White Elephant! Hit your local bookstore (or your own bookshelf) and find that gem of a used book to bring in! Make sure it’s wrapped!
First, we’ll discuss this month’s book “”Fleishman is in Trouble”” by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. The novel is about Toby Fleishman, a hepatologist in his forties who is undergoing a bitter divorce from his wife, Rachel. It’s being compared to prime Phillip Roth and John Updike. We’ll have wine, latkes, suvganyot, and a gift exchange like no other to cap it off.
