Senses of the Mellah: A Night in Jewish Morocco

UPDATE: We’re sold out! Thank you so much for your interest. We will not be selling tickets at the door.

Established in the late fifteenth century, the Mellahs of Morocco—the walled Jewish quarters in Moroccan cities—were once home to nearly three hundred thousand Jews across the country. While the Moroccan Jewish community today numbers around two thousand, this historic Jewish community remains active and strong.

Join NuRoots and JDC Entwine to celebrate the rich tastes, textures, smells, and sounds of Morocco’s Jewish community, featuring stories, music, and a traditional vegetarian meal with members of the local community and participants from our recent Federation-JDC Entwine Morocco trip.
