Shavuot? That’s the cheesecake festival right? Well yes… and no. It’s also the holiday when we remember the giving of the Torah on top of Mt. Sinai. This was the Israelite experience of revelation – their ‘aha’ moment! But what was actually revealed? What does revelation mean to us in 2019? And what have been the ‘aha’ moments in your life and how did they change you? Together we will gather at the North Hollywood Food Truck Collective to eat, schmooze, and take a deep dive into Part 1 of the series: Shavuot Special: Revelation.

Shavuot Special: Revelation is the first in our new Food Trucks & Conversation Collective Series focused on provocative conversations, meaningful relationship building, and the significance of food in bringing community together. The series will take place on the first Thursday of the month, June-September, at the North Hollywood Food Truck Collective. Los Angeles is the leading city in food truck culture and nowhere do we see this best than NoHo. The North Hollywood Food Truck Collective began with the goal of bringing local community members together weekly through diverse food, local live performance and conversation. Located in the heart of North Hollywood, the food truck collective is a unique gem that brings the neighborhood together through food. So make sure to join NuRoots at these monthly gatherings for rich conversation and delicious food. We’ll bring the blankets and cushions; you bring your food truck dinner and open mind.
