Gather as we go back to the basics and workshop your foolproof favorites from Bubbe’s kitchen (your Bubbe, a friend’s Bubbe…). We’re learning three staples that you can easily throw together at the end of your week, for a Shabbat dinner that feels elevated, perhaps nostalgic yet uniquely-yours. We’re revisiting kugel with a mind-blowing savory spin, DIY stuffed mushrooms that are beloved by all, and radical rugelach that breaks from family tradition. Three nostalgic dishes, made modern. We’re diving deep into the history of these Ashkenazi favorites with Hailley Field (@shecanhelpyou), our culinary expert and beloved chef for the evening.
When she’s not teaching OneTable Nosh:pitality workshops, Hailley is an on-demand in-home chef, preparing delicious meals for her clients using what they already have on hand in their fridge and pantry! Cooking since the age of 10, Hailley has traveled all over the world as a volunteer- cooking, eating, and exploring along the way. HomeCooked was founded in 2018 out of Hailley’s love for adventure, community, and making the best out of any fridge.
This Nosh:pitality is hosted in partnership with NuRoots, the Young Adult Initiative of JFedLA as a part of OneTable x NuRoots Nosh Series.
