Pride Shabbat 2021

Join NuRoots, J.Q. International, IKAR, and OneTable on the first Shabbat of the month for an inspiring and festive community streaming experience, celebrating the values of pikuach nefesh (watching over a soul, in Hebrew) and our beautiful Jewish LGBTQ+ and ally community from Los Angeles and around the world.
Hosted by writer-comedian Robby Hoffman, this special Shabbat will welcome U.S. assistant secretary of health Dr. Rachel Levine, the first openly trans federal official to be confirmed by the Senate, as a featured guest speaker. The night will also include entertainment, rituals, and an exclusive Pride Shabbat Kit—packing a kiddish cup, wine, grape juice, trans flag Shabbat candles, a rainbow heart cookie, OneTable’s Pride Shabbat guide, and a pre-written postcard, in support of transgender rights and the Equality Act congressional bill, to send to senators.
