The Roots of Identity: Shabbat Above the City
- This event has passed.
Thank you for your interest. This experience is SOLD OUT.
Enter Shabbat with us over meaningful group conversations, new connections, and a delicious Persian meal. As we make our way through the Hebrew month of Elul, a time of reflection, we’ll explore the complexity of identity and the values that make us who we are.
Friday, September 13
7:00–10:00 PM
Private home in Bel Air
The conversation will be facilitated in intimate groups lead by peers involved with NuRoots. We are excited to highlight our Co-Creator, Lillian Farzan, who will also be a facilitator for the evening. Lillian is a first-generation Iranian Jewish American passionate about supporting her clients through coaching, therapy, and advocating for social justice by engaging in broader dialogue. She is a pre-licensed therapist focused on racial identity development, marginalized communities, and populations including first-generation individuals, survivors of sexual trauma, and members of the LGBTQ community in Los Angeles. Lillian is excited to help create a space which lends itself to coming “as you are,” in your authentic self.
This experience is intended for young adults of all backgrounds between 22 and 40, and will take place at a private home in Bel Air. The address will be shared with registered guests.
