Work vs. Worth
- This event has passed.
Judaism understands the dignity of work. It also recognizes that a meaningful life is more than just our parnasah—our livelihood. Yet as the pandemic continues, mass unemployment is forcing many of us to grapple with the seemingly inextricable link between work and worth. Without work, who am I? And what do I bring to the table?
NuRoots’ Work vs. Worth gatherings will unpack harmful frameworks that perpetuate tying work to self-worth. Our time together will provide opportunities to explore the emotional toll surrounding job hunting in this moment and look to practical action steps for supporting one another: resource sharing, spiritual care, learning from expert speakers, skills-building, uplifting volunteering efforts, and more.
