Highlights of Participation

As a part of CLI, you will become part of our Federation community, unlocking new ways to meet new people, network professionally, find and build community, and move along your Jewish journey. CLI will simultaneously enhance your knowledge about yourself and others, about the opportunities and challenges facing the Greater Los Angeles Jewish community, and how you can individually, collectively as a network, and through organizations, impact and improve communities in a positive way.

Emerging Philanthropists

Emerging Philanthropists (EP) is Federation’s philanthropy space for those 40 and under making a meaningful gift to our Annual Campaign. As an emerging philanthropist giving to our Federation, you have the opportunity to change lives. Every dollar of your donation makes a difference for people living right here in L.A., in Israel, and in over 70 other countries around the world. EP is made up of many donor communities and during your time in the program, your gift provides you access to the Ben Gurion Society (BGS), our community for emerging philanthropists giving $1,000 or more to Federation’s Annual Campaign. Being a part of our BGS community means you get access to homes, speakers, and our top leaders. There are numerous opportunities to meet, network, and connect with high-level people in an exclusive environment — all through the lens of the work of The Jewish Federation.

Professional Networks

You will gain exclusive access to Federation’s six professional networks. The Jewish Federation brings together the city’s most successful industry professionals and emerging leaders for networking, dynamic idea exchanges, events featuring prominent speakers, and participation in specialized trips. In addition to industry-specific events, the Federation also creates cross-network opportunities that allow professionals to connect across the diverse business landscape of Jewish L.A.

NuRoots

As the young adult initiative of the Jewish Federation, NuRoots mobilizes people in their 20s and 30s to build meaningful communities across Los Angeles. In collaboration with community members and inspired by Jewish culture, heritage, wisdom, and values, NuRoots brings people together to reimagine Jewish life through creative experiences and gatherings of various sizes. Taste exotic Jewish foods at a delicious Shabbat dinner. Reflect and recharge with an evening of guided meditation during the High Holidays. Spend an evening sampling different flavors of challah or join us for a live show, a movie screening, Jewish yoga, or an herbal mixology class! The list goes on, and on, and on!
