According to legend, the ancestors of Bene Israel Jews shipwrecked on India’s Konkan coast around 2,000 years ago. Today, India’s Jewish community is a vibrant mixture of both ancient and new traditions, combining common Jewish practices like Shabbat with its own unique Indian flavors. Join YALA, in partnership with JDC Entwine, as we explore the rich culture and traditions of Jewish India. Eat a delicious Indian dinner, get a Henna tattoo, and hear stories of individuals who have participated in JDC and Federation programs in India in this fun and relaxed evening!
