The Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is a highly-competitive training program for the future leaders of Jewish institutions and non-profit organizations across Los Angeles. CLI helps participants acquire the skills, relationships, and knowledge needed to find their passion and take their place as one of the next great leaders of our Jewish community.

The Community Leadership Institute (CLI) identifies and prepares future leaders of Jewish organizations, charities, and institutions across Los Angeles. An incredible opportunity for young professionals aged between 25 and 40, this 15-month leadership training program provides the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to become an effective leader of the Jewish community.

CLI participants attend monthly meetings and workshops, honing their leadership skills and learning all about Jewish non-profit initiatives in LA. They travel to Israel with other participants, simultaneously deepening their connection to the global and local Jewish communities. They cultivate relationships with esteemed leaders of the Jewish community who offer them one-on-one support and guidance.

CLI lifts them up and supports them on their journey to becoming one of the next great leaders of the Jewish community of LA.

The Community Leadership Institute looks for outstanding young Jewish professionals ready to take the next step in their community leadership journey. Eligible applicants must be aged between 25 and 40, live in Los Angeles, have previous leadership experience (professional, communal, or academic), and demonstrate a commitment to philanthropy and community impact.

Recruitment for the 15-month program is every other year, starting in in February and lasting through April. During this time, potential applicants may attend information sessions geared towards their desired concentration (Real Estate, Entertainment, Russian-Jewish or Universal). If potential applicants are not yet certain where they would like to focus, general information sessions are also available.

CLI is not currently accepting applications.

The Community Leadership Institute is a 15-month program that develops the leadership skills of outstanding young Jewish professionals in Los Angeles.
